Photographer, artist, designer, writer. Born in Denmark. Roaming the West Indies by foot, fins, bicycle, boat, or plane.

BIO

Graduated from Danmarks Designskole, Copenhagen Denmark, in 1997, with a degree in Industrial Design. Own studio business and self-employed since 1997. Design exhibitions worldwide. To see more designs, resumé, cv, exhibition list, and more please read on.

While being fashionably busy, reflections on needs and necessity became paramount. Anette lived out the idea of having least possible belongings by getting rid of most, and after a while the mere thought of creating a physical object seemed absurd. She made her last limelight design in 2004.

In 2006 Anette relocated to the West Indies. After living in Dominica, where she among other things were running a hotel and restaurant on the beach, in 2010 she jumped into the sea and sat out on a long boating journey.

STATEMENT

I don't believe less is more. Less is enough. Meaning, that which is needed. Good design is based on functionality, quality, and aesthetic. When these values comes together, finding a product, a space, or any visual content enjoyable, is a giveaway. Keep it simple and practical, with a respectable amount of decorative qualities, which should reflect personality and history.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I'm an avid photographer. My camera is a Nikon d7000, and I have a small gathering of lenses, the 35mm 1.8 being my favourite. I prefer shooting in natural light, and I zoom using my feet.

I use my blog (The blog formerly known as Ink.) to display my photographic studies, photo journals, travel photography, poetry, artworks, codings, and whatever creative stuff I do. One of my photos from an Agave study, a series of images catching the colours and textures of the fascinating plant. Agaves only flowers once and then dies. The Bubble Wrap App.
Motivated by the pleasure many people (including myself) find in popping the little air filled cushions a sheet of bubble wrap is made up of. Some people find it stress relieving, while others get a kick out of the popping sound. Take me to the endless sheets of plastic wrap!
